The IBA seeks to advance the cross-cultural competence of
students and their knowledge of international business and
the international dimension of their major field of study
through:
The major goals are to increase the number of Mays Business School and other Texas A&M students who study and intern abroad, earn certificates in international business studies, secure meaningful and rewarding careers in international business, and to otherwise advance the reputation of Mays and the University in international business studies and expand the opportunities for students in global business.
- Opportunities to interact with international business executives and learn from their experience
- Opportunities to gain understanding of world events from presentations by foreign affairs experts
- Study abroad
- Overseas internships
- Interaction with international students in social and professional events
- Providing avenues for securing mentoring assistance from former students engaged in international business careers
- Cooperation with other student organizations with similar purposes and goals
